However Apple reached to iOS-5 version, still some users are enjoying with iOS 3.1.3. Unluckily for them, according to new report raised on 16 December 2011; some iOS 3.1.3 users are not able to download new apps from the App Store directly on their iPhone and iPod.
After all they are still able to update their current installed applications on their iPhone. Some old devices are restricted to iOS 3.1.3 like iPhone 2G, they can’t update to the latest version of iPhone. May be Apple is blocking app store for older devices or they are unable to deal with older iOS users.
Mwiesner a user on Apple’s Forum started a discussion on Dec 16, 2011, now it has 6,179 views and 96 replies which are full of complaints that many users are facing this problem, the userMwiesner who started this discussion says:
1) clicking on the price no longer downloads the app,2) the ratings button does nothing,3) the ‘tell a friend’ and ‘git this app’ buttons jump back to the top of the app window,4) pictures usually don’t show up. They usually appear as five gray rectangular boxes with white borders (though in one app one too-large-for-the-window picture shows up (see pic),5) the ‘app support’ button still goes to the developer’s website.6) the ‘top in-app purchases’ banner is just text now.
We are still thinking what they are trying to do, whether they are blocking apps downloading for iOS 3.1.3 or this is just a bug, which will be fixed very soon. The user which started the discussion and the users facing the same problem are still waiting for a response by Apple.
